“Big Band Swing performed at St. Dunstan’s Church on October 15th. With an impressive ensemble of musicians the band delighted the large audience with tracks by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Elle Fitzgerald and Glenn Miller to name but a few. The music was stylish and intricate balancing the volume of the ‘big band sound’ with many individual stand out performances. The smooth voice of the soloist Jackie Highe blended well with the strong tones of the band without being overpowered.
